the Vermont Cat Teaser

Vermont Seal of QualityA Killer is loose . . .

Believe it or not, that fluffy, puffy, purring lap warmer hails from a long line of assassins! That’s right! Your family cat is just as much a predator as any cougar, lion, or tiger. Born with super human senses and reflexes, that critter is set to hunt the most clever of quarry. the Vermont Cat Teaser is built to last a long time and to take the worst assaults your cat can dish-out on something besides human fingers and toes! the Vermont Cat Teaser is made with leather to provide your cat with the sensation of attacking real prey, instead of attacking a piece of plastic with artificial fur. (Would you rather bite into a real piece of fruit or a plastic imitation? Your cat feels the same way!) the Vermont Cat Teaser is designed to let your cat show you what she is made of, to provide a healthy form of exercise, and for the fun interaction that will build a better friendship between you and your companion.

"But, he just sits there . . ."

If your cat has led a quiet existence for awhile, it will take a little time to get his attention. (If you haven’t been very active for awhile, would you just up and run a marathon? No. The same goes for your cat.)
What is your cat’s predator type? Does she like to chase? Quickly draw the tether across your cat’s field of view and keep it just out of reach. (Depending on your house rules, chairs, stairs, and tables provide fantastic changes in terrain!) With a little practice, you can get your cat charging in frantic circles!

Hours of play time for only 7.95!

What about the pouncer?

Try keeping the tether on the ground and flicking the handle back and forth just a little. This will cause the tip to twitch ever so slightly. Use this method while slowly pulling it away from your cat. Soon, your cat will not be able to contain herself and POW! She will be right on top of it!

Does your cat prefer to swat?

Again, flick the handle while keeping the tether in the air, just out of reach. The motion of the tip drives the swatter CRAZY! Maybe your cat shows a bit of each behavior? Have at it!

A great workout!The stubborn tabby . . .

Try setting the tether lightly on the top of her head and watch out! This will usually get her ire up and will cause her to swat at the tether. Then it is only a matter of time! Each cat is an individual and will show you her preference. All you have to do is try a few different moves with the Vermont Cat Teaser and listen. Your cat will communicate what is the most enticing. Watch and you will soon find out. Listen to your animal.

A few more tips

To get the most out of your purchase, and to actually keep your cat’s interest in her toy, DO NOT let your cat have access to the Vermont Cat Teaser all day, everyday. Try to make a special time each day when you and your critter can enjoy each others company and let loose. You will both be happy for it!

All you have to do is try a few different moves with the Vermont Cat Teaser and listen. Your cat will communicate what is the most enticing. Watch and you will soon find out. Listen to your animal.

When not in use, keep the Vermont Cat Teaser out of your cat’s reach. An over rambunctious cat might try to eat the tether. Our cats will grab their teaser, run off, and hide it!

A final thought toward safety

Cats go crazy for this toy!!!This is a simple and fun toy for you and your cat. However, here are some rules that should be followed:

* NEVER yank the tether out of the cat’s mouth or paws fast. That would hurt and could cause an injury.

*Always watch where the claws are coming from!

*NEVER let a young child play with the Vermont Cat Teaser unsupervised.

*Watch out for your cat and others so no one gets bonked with the toy!
